Creating Duplication

If you have been in this industry for any period of time you will have most certainly heard about the “cookie cutter” philosophy. That being that everything you do should be very simple and easy to duplicate over and over again.

In essence, duplication is the key to success in your business and the fuel for that duplication is simplicity.

Network marketing is unlike anything else you have ever done before and many of the basic concepts will seem foreign to you, especially if you are used to managing people.

I can speak from experience on this one as I totally didn’t get it in my first network marketing foray.

I owned and operated five restaurants when I got started and saw networking as an amazingly simple way to make a lot of money. With the skills that I had developed over the years and my ability to manage people I should be retiring within a few years, or so I thought.

I approached my business the same way I had with my eateries and quickly began making great money. I was signing up people left and right and conducting a very powerful weekly meeting and training that showed and told everyone what to do.

And within a few months I had one of the largest four-level organizations in the country!

You see, what I didn’t realize is that in order to build a big down line organization you have other people doing what you do….if you are the only one doing it then all you have is a job.

By accident I had been training my people to build their business through me. Bring your prospects to my meeting….bring your new reps to my training.

It worked only as well as I get my arms around it and that is why my people began to believe that they could not do what I did and therefore not build their own business. Because I was comfortable in front of a room my organization would say to themselves, “I could never do what Joe does.”

And they didn’t either.

As you begin building your team I would suggest always asking yourself one question before you implement a business building concept….

“Is this method simple enough for everyone to do it as easily as me?”

No matter what it might be, make certain that others in you group can duplicate it. Work on making people believe they can succeed without you and always look to push them in to leadership roles as quickly as possible.

If you want to take full advantage of the amazing income available through network marketing then keep it simple and make sure duplication is in order.
