Thinking a System Will Do it All

The network marketing industry has changed over the years but the basic concept has not.

It’s still about getting as many people in front of your business as possible, as often as possible.

Of course, being humans, we probably try harder to find an easier way to do the job then we do actually doing the work. The ever popular “silver bullet,” “magic pill,” whatever you want to call it has been sought after for years and many have claimed to have found it, only to see it revealed as a phony in the end.

The Internet has added some new resources for us to use in helping build our empires, many of which are extremely beneficial if used properly.

Online “systems” which offer you auto responders, back offices with contact mangers and other nifty tools can be a real benefit and reduce some the workload involving follow-up and organization.

Where systems become a problem is when people begin to think that the system is all they need to be successful.

Nothing could be further from the truth.

Many of these systems companies know that potential clients are searching for the silver bullet and therefore they promote the system to be just that.

I knew of a company several years ago that was just that.

The entire concept for the system was based around the myth that all you would have to do is call people that call you first. Leads would be dropped in to the system and begin receiving your e-mail campaigns. Your interested leads would most certainly be contacting you after receiving a series of cleverly written e-mails wouldn’t they?

(If you answer yes to this, I have some property in Florida you may be interested in)

There is no system, no e-mail campaign and no magic method that will consistently produce new business partners for you. Every once in a while it happens but then again so do full moons.

I hate to be the person to tell you this but if you want to be successful in this industry you have to do the work. No system or tool can make an unmotivated, uncommitted, uninspired and any other “un” type thing you can think of successful.

It can however help you manage and qualify large numbers of leads and prospects, but you still have to pick up the phone and make the calls if you want to sign up new business partners.
